TRAVEL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. About Resio
Resio is a Swedish travel company offering:
Dynamic package holidays
Package holidays
Hotel bookings
Resio acts as the organiser for package holidays and dynamic package holidays in accordance with applicable package travel legislation. For certain hotel bookings, Resio may act as an intermediary for third party suppliers.
2. Agreement and Booking
These travel terms and conditions apply to all bookings made through Resio’s website or partners.
By completing a booking, the customer enters into a legally binding agreement with Resio.
A booking becomes binding when:
Full payment has been completed
A booking confirmation has been issued by Resio
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all information provided at the time of booking is correct, including:
Name as stated in passport
Travel dates
Contact information
Any errors must be reported immediately after receiving the booking confirmation.
3. Package Travel Regulations and Insolvency Protection
Package holidays are governed by applicable package travel legislation.
Resio provides insolvency protection in accordance with the requirements of the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency (Kammarkollegiet).
For bookings not covered by package travel legislation, general consumer and contract law applies.
4. Prices
Our prices are continuously adjusted based on supply and demand. This means that the price of a trip may change several times per day, especially due to changes in availability or demand.
Prices may also be affected by:
Promotions and temporary offers
Price changes from airlines and hotel suppliers
Currency fluctuations
Taxes and fees
The price displayed at the time of booking and stated in the booking confirmation is the valid price for the trip.
After a booking has been completed and confirmed, the price will normally not change, except where required by law or under specific circumstances permitted by package travel legislation.
5. Payment
For all bookings, full payment is required at the time of booking. No instalment payments or post departure payments are offered.
The booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received.
Certain prices and promotional offers may be fully or partially non refundable after booking has been completed.
Resio reserves the right to reject or cancel a booking in the event of failed or declined payment.
6. Changes and Cancellation by the Customer
Changes after a booking has been completed are subject to availability and feasibility.
Changes may result in:
Repricing according to current rates
Administrative fees
Supplier change fees
Certain bookings and promotional rates may be completely non changeable.
The customer has the right to cancel the trip at any time before departure. Cancellation fees may apply depending on:
Time of cancellation
Supplier conditions
Type of booking or promotional rate
Service fees and booking fees are normally non refundable.
Exact conditions are presented at the time of booking.
7. Changes or Cancellation by Resio
Resio reserves the right to make minor changes to the trip without compensation.
In the event of significant changes, such as:
Change of destination
Significant change of travel times
Significant downgrade of accommodation
the customer has the right to:
Accept the change, or
Cancel the booking and receive a full refund
Resio may also cancel a trip due to:
Force majeure
Supplier issues
Insufficient participation for group trips
In such cases, the customer will be offered a refund or an alternative trip where possible.
8. Responsibility and Suppliers
For package holidays, Resio is responsible for ensuring that the services included in the package are provided in accordance with the agreement.
For dynamic package holidays, travel services from multiple suppliers are combined in real time. Certain parts of the trip are therefore provided by external suppliers.
For certain hotel bookings, Resio may act as an intermediary, in which case responsibility for the service lies with the respective hotel or supplier.
Resio is not responsible for:
Supplier overbookings
Actions by third parties
Events outside Resio’s reasonable control
9. Flights and Transportation
Flight schedules are preliminary and may be changed by the airline.
Airlines are responsible for their transportation services in accordance with applicable regulations, including EU261 where applicable.
Resio is not responsible for:
Flight delays outside the scope of package travel responsibility
Missed connections not included within the same booking or package
10. Accommodation
Accommodation standards and classifications are based on local regulations and may differ from Swedish standards.
Room allocation and special requests are managed by the hotel and cannot be guaranteed.
If a booked service cannot be delivered, Resio will, where possible:
Offer an equivalent alternative, or
Provide a refund in accordance with applicable regulations
11. Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for obtaining:
Valid passport
Required visas
Necessary travel documents
Travel insurance
Required vaccinations and health requirements
Failure to comply may result in denied travel without entitlement to a refund.
12. Complaints
Any issues must be reported immediately during the trip so that Resio or the supplier has the opportunity to resolve the problem.
Complaints must be submitted to Resio no later than 30 days after returning home.
13. Limitation of Liability
Resio’s liability is limited to the total price of the trip unless otherwise required by mandatory law or international conventions.
Resio is not liable for indirect damages, loss of income, or loss of enjoyment beyond what is required by law.
14. Force Majeure
Resio is not responsible for circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:
Natural disasters
War or civil unrest
Pandemics
Government actions
Strikes
In such situations, compensation or refunds may be limited in accordance with applicable law.
15. Dispute Resolution
Disputes may be reviewed by the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
16. Applicable Law
These travel terms and conditions are governed by Swedish law.
